GP MIDGET MASTERS SERIES TO SUPPORT INTERNATIONAL FIELD OF LATE MODELS

Redline Raceway hosts a huge meeting this weekend where the Ballistic Performance Parts GP Midget Masters Series will support the Late Models Victorian Title. GP Midget racing in Victoria is getting tighter as the season goes on as everyone now has their cars up to speed. For those that are racing at the Australian GP Midget Title at Nowra on the 7th March this will be their last hit out before then and for those not making the trip, well they will be looking to continue to gather as many points as possible towards the series point score and hopefully take home some silverware at the end of the night. Nine teams will roll into the pits at Redline ready to put on another great show on the highly banked track including Travis Florrimell, Chris Fowler and Jason Crawford who have gone to battle on this track on numerous occasions.

Alex Myers picked up his first heat win a couple of weeks ago will certainly be keen to get his first look of the venue from the driver’s cockpit and get his second win. Mark Blackeby and Sean Denning are two others that know the track well and have had some great battles over the years and they will certainly be up on the pace.

Chris Carr has impressed and got a few people talking with how quickly he is getting up to speed in the V3 independent chassis and Terry Brown although he has had some bad luck recently has shown earlier in the season that he is more than capable of giving the faster guys a run for their money. Troy Buis in the always well-presented V5 will be in the thick of the action as well hoping to create an upset. Gates open to the public at 2pm and racing will commence at 4.30pm, this is one show not to be missed with 20+ Late Models including competitors from USA, NZ and several states of Australia, Street Stocks, Sport Sedans and Standard Saloons also in attendance.
