QUALITY FIELD SET TO TAKE ON REDLINE THIS WEEKEND

A bumper field of GP Midget’s are set to take on the high banks of Redline Raceway this Saturday night for Round 3 of the Ballistic Performance Parts Masters Series. After Round 2 at Swan Hill being cancelled last weekend the drivers are champing at the bit for a run a month after the first round at Wangaratta. All the big names will be in attendance as well as some NSW imports to add to the already strong Victorian competition.

Headlining the competition will be Current Victoria 1 and newly crowned NSW 1 Danny Stainer driving the V51 green machine. Danny is the inform driver and the one to watch but he won’t have it all his own way. The NSW contingent of Rod Saville and Trevor Perry will be hot on his tail although they will have to find something extra if they are to stop Stainer. Let’s not forget the controversy of the corresponding round last season when contact between Perry and Travis Florrimell ended up a big talking point in the pit circles. Florrimell will be out looking for payback the best way he knows how, by getting to the chequered flag in first. The local stocks of Jason Crawford and Chris Fowler will also be out to prove a point after they both had a disappointing start to the season but they both know this track very well and have had success here before. Don’t forget about Lisa Chalcraft who is always dangerous to leave out of your selections although she may not have the power of some of the above drivers she certainly has the experience and knows how to seize an opportunity if they slip up.

Shawn Ward if he can sort his engine troubles will be in the mix and Sean Denning seems to have sorted his engine out and is really enjoying his racing now. Troy Buis, Mark Blackeby, Andrew Ward and Brandon Turner will all hit the track to put on some great close racing as well. Redline Raceway is one of the great spectator venues with the hill the perfect place to watch the racing form the comfort of your car or if you are a diehard get down on the fence to cheer the drivers on. Gates open at 2pm with racing from 5pm this Saturday night don’t miss this cracker of a field go head to head.
