CHAMPIONSHIP WIDE OPEN WITH POINTS ON OFFER AT REDLINE
Redline Raceway is all set to host round 6 of the Ballistic Performance Parts Masters Series this Saturday night. A field of nine quality drivers and cars will take to the high banks of the Mount Bunninyong track to put on another action packed show for the fans.
Series Leader Trevor Perry will be missing from the line up as he looks to defend his Australia Title at Goulburn Speedway in NSW on the same night. Benefiting most from this will be Jason Crawford who currently sits 2nd in points and could well be leading the series come Sunday morning if everything goes his way. Right on Crawford's tail though will be 2 time and current Victorian Champion Danny Stainer who is also one of the favourites going into this weekend. Always quick at Redline is Lisa Chalcraft and she will be looking to make some ground up on the boys in front of her, she will be tough to beat.
Travis Florimell has been extremely quick during his interrupted season and will no doubt be on the pace again this Saturday night after missing the setup in the Jason Glynn memorial last month. Sean Denning and Mark Blackeby have been battling it out all season long and no doubt will be at it again continuing on from where they left off.
Chris Fowler is looking to get his season back on track after his run of dnf's for the previous 5 meetings. If he can turn his luck around he could provide some competition for the tops guys.
Troy Buis will be back in action after successfully completing his first run in his Stinger chassis at Avalon raceway last month. The smile couldn't be wiped from his face as he enjoyed every moment of it and nominated for this event straight away, champing at the bit to get back in for another run. The VGPMRA welcomes another new driver to the GP Midget ranks this weekend as the class continues to grow. The club would like to welcome Brandon Turner who has picked up a Stinger chassis and will drive the V18 car. All is set for a great night’s racing so make sure you get to Redline Raceway for some fast action packed racing that will be sure to entertain. Also on the night are Speedcars for their Bill Evans Classic, Street Stocks, Sport Sedans, Standard Saloons, V8 Thunder Series and a V8 Non Wing Demo. The VGPMRA would also like to wish good luck to the following drivers who are competing in the Australian Title at Goulburn on Saturday night.
